Happy Swedish Waffle day 25th March: an easy recipe

We love waffles.  Sadly this year we'll not be serving them in the shop, but we do stock the ready made powder mixes for you to make your own in a jiffy.

If you wont make it past the shop and you still feel like being the waffle king or queen tonight, here's our quick and easy recipe:

125g butter

200 ml full fat milk

400 ml plain flour (note: this meature is volume, not grams)

2 eggs

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

200ml very cold water

Melt the butter and leave it to cool.  Whisk milk, flour, baking powder and eggs well until smooth and then add the butter and water.  Bake is a heart waffle iron.  

Eat warm topped with strawberry jam and whipped cream.  We like adding a dash of vanilla extract or vanilla suagr to our cream before whipping.

It's my first time here and I already got amazed on this waffle! Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipe. Waffles is one of my favorite foodie in the morning together with hot chocolate drink. Also, I love the presentation... impressive.

During this process, the chaff and other debris are removed before the remaining grain is sent to a screen where drops into an elevator bucket.
