Penguin of the week: Lance
A penguin (let's call him Lance: it's a nice name) decided to go on an adventure from his usual hot(cold) spot of Antartica and ended up in New Zealand: 2,000 miles away.
Poor Lance: he thought he'd get picked up by the authorities for a free ride back to the South, but not so: they're leaving him stranded. An Emperor penguin amongst the tiny blue piddly little penguins of New Zealand, alone and warm. What poor Lance thought was a trip away from the darkness (it's 24 hour darkness at the moment in Antartica) has ended up being his downfall.
It's a bit like grabbing one of those deals with a cheapo airline thinking you're going to Stockholm and they drop you off in Northern Sweden at a cattle shed of an airport instead.
Lance is our Penguin of the Week. We salute you, Lance - that was quite a swim.
I hate Ryan Dispair... I thought I was going to Venice.
