More Pimped up gingerbread houses - last chance to enter the competition

Tomorrow is the very last day for sending us your Pimped Up Gingerbread houses.

We're going to have such a tricky time deciding on the winners - we are actually looking for a guest judge so we can make sure we make the most objective decisions possible.  Hmmm... We might ask John next door, he looks like he'd know a thing or two about design.  Or the architects down the road...

Here are the newest entries:

Nathalie and Isabel write to us:

'Please find attached our first ever attempt at pimping a gingerbread house!! As we are both British with a slightly weird fascination for Scandinavia (Natalie for Norway and Isabel for Denmark) we have attempted to show our admiration for the 2 countries as best we can despite being complete novices!!

You will notice that Dronning Sonja and Kong Harald of Norway are happily resting on some house sized blocks of Brunost and there is even a beautiful fjord in the background!'

And here's  great entry from Caroline and Alexandra entitled "White Witch Winter Cottage"

The house that Sandi Toksvig & team built...

It is no secret that a few "better known media" people tend to frequent our little cafe.  Quite often have the pleasure of the company of the BBC News Quiz team from BBC Radio 4 - and they have also made a house for the Pimp my Gingerbread Competition.

Headed up by Lyndsay, Gareth and Rhiannon they took the techincal drawing approach to designing their house and also made a life size (almost) model of Sandi Toksvig.

Pimp My Gingerbread House 2011: Ellen's Entry

We have to say: she's rather skilled in the art of icing, this lady.  Wow.

Ellen's entry to the Pimp My gingerbread House is here - it is entitled "Santa vs. Monsterpus".

We're starting to think we're going to need a panel of independent judges to make a call on who wins the prizes - we're seeing some fantastic stuff coming in.  Keep it up, good people, keep it up.

Pimp My Gingerbread House 2011: Thomas' house

Thanks to Thomas who has made this Pimped Up Gingerbread House for the kid's category.  It is entitled "Lego Men".

Thomas' mum writes: 'Chewbacca is in charge and the soldier is guarding the eggs. I do not know what the eggs are or why they are there. The racing driver in the chimney is Santa".

We love your house, Thomas:  totally legendary.
